Being brought up and still living in East Lothian Ryan is a local who has great community knowledge and appreciation for the surrounding areas, he always ensures to do his best by them. When Ryan is not working or at home with his family he enjoys fishing and socialising with family and friends. A message from Ryan:
“I only started as a bricklayer, but over my 10 years of experience I have been able to turn my hand to many other tasks with ease, these invaluable skills have become an asset to my work and career.
Like construction I started from the bottom and worked my way up. I done my apprenticeship with the well known local company John Dennis which is where I met Stewart thus starting the strong professional team we are now.
During my apprenticeship I went to college where I was selected from my course to compete in a Skill Build Competition against other apprentices, this alone was all down to the precision and quality in my work even at an early stage. I have gained a full profession and knowledge in doing full projects start to finish from digging out and pouring foundations to putting that last brick or block on the wall. Expanding to concrete floors, screeds, slap throughs, slabbing and much more, I strive to see every project completed.
Myself and Stewart both felt it was time to move onto a new venture with THG where we both learned to run projects ourselves, problem solve and invaluable communication skills to deal with all critical aspects of working with clients, architects and other professional trades etc.
When one door closed another door opened in the creation of R&S Construction (Scotland), with the wealth of knowledge and skills gained between myself and Stewart and the professionalism we hold to every project we take on, no one can go wrong in trusting us to carry out the projects they desire. We are honest, committed and love what we do!”
